It actually poured down on Friday night

We've never had rain in June before

But it's lovely today :D which Bente will be pleased about, as all her family arrived yesterday. Normally, we call it Morten's weather, as every time he's been here, it rains

Morning all. A nice sunny day here and there are little colourful windsurfers out on the water. If it stays dry we'll get out and about this afternoon for a while. We usually go for a drive along the coast and stop for a walk at a country park.

Good morning, all.

A lovely start to the day here. Just back from a long walk with Prince (He's now flat out).

Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all,
I managed to get rid of a couple more bag loads of baby stuff to some friends who are due soon. Hubby thought I had heaps more stuff some was poking through boxes too and announced, "all these boxes are filled with my crap" yes dear I replied, that's what I've been trying to tell you for a year now. :D

Then my parents came over to retrieve a few things left sphere are the building of the playhouse. Yippee more stuff gone, and soon I should be able to get rid of ALL the girls clothes from birth to age 4 to another friend, but I'll need to borrow my dads trailer to get it there all in one go, I'm serious. :o

This week is birthday week. My nana and both mine and hubby's brothers both turn 40, one day after the other. Our mums were in hospital together. "Whistles it's a small world" and the day before that run is another's friends birthday. So that's the weekend sorted. :D party party party.

Ohh the winds picked up, I wonder if we are in for a storm, hope not, we're walking to school tomorrow.

Hubby has one week left at work, and then this contract expires, I can't complain, it's been a wonderful run, 2 years on a 3 month initial contract isn't bad, and it's allowed him to work at home and start and finish early. It has been exactly what we needed to cope with all the reno's and the house shift, and my health. I'm not hopeful though that the next one will be as good, I'm sure we have used up our good luck there, but one can only hope. On the bright side, he finishes work on Friday, which means we can crack on and finish our upstairs bathroom! Better add look at tiles to my to do this week. :D (and toilets and mirrors and taps and towel rails and a toilet roll holder.....) at least I've chosen the paint!
Everything happens for a reason

Morning all, it's a miserable day here with a lot of rain  I'm not feeling the best, bit of a tummy upset - it has settled down but I feel washed out. We had thought we might do some shopping but I don't feel up to it, so we will just have a quiet day at home (like we haven't had enough of those recently   ). Still, we can do some sorting through his summer clothes and decide what to keep out and what we could pack away, I've done mine already, so the day won't be entirely wasted. I'm sure he will find some sport to watch on tv, and I have my book to read. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday :)

Well we've had a lovely day so far - Mick and I moseyed down to the Docks as it was so sunny, had a drink and sat by the water, then went to Sainsburys to get some salad to go with the lovely burgers I've been saving (in the freezer) for a sunny Sunday - we've sat in the garden with some wine, sunbathing, and planning a BBQ, but blow me down now the rain has started so it looks like the burgers will be oven cooked *sigh*

Gotta love the Glawster weather ;)

It's clouded over here quite a bit now :?
Not planning a bbq though, am going to cook the first of the ham joints and have new potatoes and lots of Isle of Wight asparagus :)

Bb got the shed painted this morning, and I got the front garden all weeded and tidy :)
This afternoon I made a lemon drizzle cake; we had a big slice each filled with lemon curd and creme fraiche :D
He's now 'watching' the French open final (ie fast asleep lol) - will have to wake him up for either the end of this or the beginning of the grand prix :D

Hope Grumpy's feeling better Ton, and you too Osc xx
Well done to your son Saundra :)

Oh poor Grumpy :) Pulled muscles hurt  :? xxx

Di lemon drizzle is one of my faves :D :D

Still raining here, so the burgers are going in the oven and we are watching Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy on the telly :D :)

Looks like B has found a job - she signed up to a pet sitting site and has a job in Burford, looking after four doggie while the owners are on their hols 8-) :D :D
