That is my take on it Cromwell, and if people can be criminalised in the process it not only scares people it also allows for more control later on if necessary.

:x :x

Second time of trying to post this..................

Well sorry folks

But have said this for years the cause of obesity is because people lead a sedentary lifestyle (its not rocket science)

We are mostly on here of a similar age and yet we never had time to get ''fat''

Walked to School, PE, Gym, Swimming, Tennis, Hockey, Track and Field, Cross Country....................... etc

School trips - canoeing. mountain climbing, abseiling............... etc

Worst diet ever - everything cooked in lard, 3 courses every night, sweet sticky puddings (end of rationing in the UK, again about 1958 - someone will correct me no doubt about date)

İn my School only had 3 clinically obese kids and they were all the same family and all had thyroid problems

And so Ladies and gentlemen I rest my case................. if you want something to blame go for TV, Computers, IPADS/PODS/Facebook/Twitter el al and anything else that keeps you stuck to your coach :!: :!: :!:

Here in Turkey there are very few obese people (Well except for British Tourists)

Because they are living our lives (Brits) from about 40 years ago :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Get out, Walk, Swim whatever

Take care, be fit :) :) :) :)

I agree DT.

We ate all sorts of things when I was a boy, and puddings were always on the table. We did not have the money for gyms and things, well, most of them did not exist. We just went out in the street and ran everything off. Nowadays it seems that everything has to be organised. If it isn't paid for, with professional trainers in charge, it is not worth it. And H&S stops so many things from happening, so does the "Bogeyman" syndrome.

It is not right to simply arrest parents/guardians and blame them, We need to look at the culture we, as a society, have created.
