My MIL was saying the same about her seeds this year Debih, she planted some in a little wooden wheelbarrow but they've made a very poor show :? By contrast all of the plants that went in as seedlings have been fine :? Must be the weather - mine all went in as small plants so mine are all lovely......

Hope you can shift the pesky beetles!!!!

Don' grow any vegetables as we only have a small garden.

Have some perennailk plants, one rose, two fuschia which are from a cutting my other gave me. an evening primrose. The seeds drop off and new plants seem to grow in several places. I only save three.

Buy bedding plants from a local nursery.

Thanks to the wet, mild winter, we've had a bumper crop of tayberries this year - at least 70-80 fruits off the bush now, I reckon. The other day, I saw a squirrel hanging off the trellis, helping himself to some ..... I opened the bedroom window, clapped my hands, the squirrel took off over the trellis - and the bottom of the bush exploded as a whole family of panicking mistle thrushes came screaming out from underneath it!!

Not many butterflies yet - but we have sighted a Comma, which although not exactly rare, does seems to be unusual around us!

My pots have really spread out since my last photo, they are really something this year 8-) :D

On the produce side, we have had cukes and lovely tomatoes so far, oh and one ginormous aubergine  The chillis and peppers are coming on, but not ready yet :)
