That will be you when the anethestic wears off - BUT if you take all those tabs NOW it won't matter talk about overkill - that percsription is enough to give you a heart attack at the very least.

When my shoulder was at its worst, I was living alone and too scared to take the solpadeine I'd been prescribed. My flat had concrete outside stairs, and they made me really fuzzy and disorientated.
My Gp agreed with me that a 'reasonable' amount of alcohol plus milder painkillers was a much safer option

OK am revising my clinical opinion (by Doctor PHD MDB CJD DINJU Dippytrout and bar) just forget the pills and drink the veno (Works for me)

I use to work for a health company with lots of doctors. I twisted my ankle the night before the Christmas party pretty badly. So just before the party I asked how much can I drink if I take ibuprofen (nurofen) and the dr replied, save them for the morning. Just drink lots of wine and you'll be up dancing in no time. He was right.

Tom's had his done twice since we've moved here, I was expecting an overnight stay for him as I remember my friend having her's done when we were at school but it was actually done both times at the doctor's surgery on our estate, a 5 minute hobble around the corner That was lucky actually as the first time we took some velcro fastening flip flops for him to put on afterwards and they wouldn't fasten over the bandage so I had to leave him in the waiting room and dash around home for several pairs of socks to cover it.

The podiatrist who changed the tubigrip was saying how clean everything was. I explained that I had worn open-toed sandals to hobble about on. That was a good idea, she said, as one of her patients had returned and had a drawing pin stuck in her foot! She had not realised because of the anaesthetic, she just thought it was sore due to the op.
