The in-growing toenail extravaganza.

Postby Workingman » 05 Jun 2014, 14:55

I have just had the curly edges removed from the nail on my big toe, right foot. As he was doing the job the doctor "happened" to mention that it might be a bit painful for a while after the anaesthetic wore off and that he would give me some painkillers.

100 tabs of Co-codamol: 30 mg codeine, 500 mg paracetamol!!!

HOW painful is it going to be, and for HOW LONG?

Don't worry Saundra, my toe is fast asleep in its tubigrip sleeping bag.

I did ask for a prescription of single malt spring water, but the doc said he could only justify that if the toe had to amputated.

It's good of him though, the prescription costs the same however many tablets - I get my paracetamol 200 at a time :)
Hope it's not too painful (((x)))

I amn't complaining, but I do wonder how painful it could get.......

Auntie Claire had hers done, way back, and was in hospital for a day, then bed rest for a couple more. :o

Mine was in the day clinic, bish-bosh, then out again - twenty mins max. :D :D :D
