Darking bog? I was in a borrowed apartment in the Spanish Quarter and went to bed with one at it. Managed to get to sleep but woke up a while later and it was still at it. Awake for some time, still barking then a loud bang followed by silence. Never knew what happened but had a good guess and I never heard it again.

Lol Mr. P!!

Morning all, dull here too, lots of heavy cloud around with occasional appearances by the sun. I had a bad night last night, felt ick and hot so was awake for quite some time. I think I will take it slightly easier today. Got a phone call from a friend's husband to say he has business in this area this afternoon so he is going to pop in and say hello - cue frantic instructions to Mr. Osc to run around downstairs with the vacuum!! The place is full of boxes, both full and empty but I'm sure our visitor will understand. No other news, hope everyone has a lovely day :)

Afternoon all. Its quite nice here but boy did it rain last night!

I'm at work at the moment - just finishing off. Then I'm off to the quilt shop (just along from my office) to finish the bag that I was making at the workshop on Saturday. I'd better get it finished today as I can't spare any more afternoons. I already had plans for this afternoon that I had to change to get the damned thing finished. I enjoyed the workshop on Saturday but found it very stressful as it was a very complicated bag - and it wasn't just me (the complete novice) that said that - the other women that were there were experienced sewers and they found it hard. None of us finished it but the others had machines at home they could finish it on, I dont. It's actually put me off sewing rather than encourage me to do more!!!!!

Book Club tonight - we are reviewing Tracy Chevalier's The Last Runaway. I loved it.

That's a shame Debih, especially as bags are so nice to make!
I've made quite a few, mostly very simple - but this book is brilliant, such good pics and explanations, I'm even gearing myself up to trying a zip soon :D See here

Most of the ones I've made have been totes, really simple, but can be made really nice with lining, pockets, decoration, etc :)
Even I can make a plain one in an afternoon.

Oh Debih that's not much fun :? Hobbies are supposed to be relaxing :?  Di those are nice totes 8-)

Osc it sounds as though you might need to rest a bit today, I am sure your visitor will understand all those boxes and a bit of muddle when you are moving house! ;) (((x)))

Well I've done all the housey stuff that needed doing, washing is drying nicely on the line, just made Mick and myself a light lunch - crackers cheese and apple, and now I'm just sitting around watching lunchtime tv!!! Blimey it's rubbish LOL :? Mick is coming with me to the orthodontist's and we don't leave until about 2.30  It feels odd hanging around the house at this time of day, I am almost always out during the week food shopping or just out on a walk by 11ish and not back until about 2 or 3 at the earliest

Didn't find that ants' nest yet, will have another look later

Good afternoon all. It's lovely up here Osc, come on up!

I've been stuck in all morning because the gas man was here fitting my new hob, a bit of a saga several weeks long (Curry's need I say more?) but done and dusted at last. It's meant I can't get out for my daily constitutional and I have to pick Rebekah up from school soon as son and dil are off celebrating their wedding anniversary by drinking whiskey at Bushmills Distrillery and then having lunch at Bushmills Inn. They said they might be back in time for the school run, but I'll eat my cap.

Is it only three weeks today before I get to meet you? :D :D :D
