Gravy is definitely stirred the other way here. You need to stir in the direction that the water flows down the plug hole don't you know.
so the closer to the equator you are you need to stir without swirling.
My two love veges, and one is nicknamed fruit bat cause it is impossible to fill her up on 10 pieces of fruit
Missey had a mix of mince, and mashed veges every day for 6 months and she hated it. It use to take an hour to get her to accept the first bite, and then she couldn't eat it down fast enough. On occasions I had to force the first taste just to get it out of the way so she would then eat normally. Oh boy I had forgotten that! The mix was a bit different every day, but fairly similar. No salt, oil or seasoning though. I would eat it too some times while I was making big batches and freezing it down. Most of the baby foods she was allergic to. And I wasn't about to feed her the only 2 jars that were ok, one was a dessert.
Buddy boy decided at 7 months that he wanted more than milk (fair enough I was a bit slack!) and started grabbing fist fulls of cauliflower and broccoli off my plate one day at the mall. And he's not looked back. He never had anything puréed. The only thing we spoon fed was the morning porridge, everything else he fed to himself. The range that they eat is very different, but they both are very broad. We insist that they have to try everything on their plate. They don't have to eat it, but they have to try it. I think it is this policy that has broadened their palate. Oliver is definitely the more adventurous and more keen to try new things. I do wonder what might have happened if we had adopted a similar approach with missey.
