England v Peru

For the chaps here

England v Peru

I spent a lot of time watching three players - Rooney, Gerrard and Baines.

Rooney has lost his first touch, and he has become The Wanderer. If he doesn't know where he is how are his team mates supposed to?

Cap' Hollywood tried one of his signature passes at 0-0 and it nearly led to Peru getting a goal on the break. He also got a yellow card for a tackle from behind in no-man's land. Does he not know the rules?

Poor Baines. He makes some great runs into acres of space, yet his mates choose the short pass to someone with at least one player in their back pocket.

Not a bad result, but when teams break on them England make some schoolboy errors and have been very lucky not to be punished in a number of games. The likes of Brazil, Germany and Italy will not be so kind.

We might not win the WC, but we won't be a pushover for anyone.

It was nearly as bad as watching Portugal last night :o

And no, we couldn't see it, but were "watching" it on the internet.
