I can get my foot in the sink, no problem, it's getting it out again.......as Janet (Taps and Sinks) at Homebase will testify from when I got my toe caught in her spigot. The only help to hand was Jordanna (Soft Furnishings) who nearly fainted when Janet told her what to do with the flange expander tool.

It all worked out in the end, though, because when I got the sink to the till the manager noticed all the scuff marks and petroleum jelly and knocked £30 off as the sink was "damaged goods". It's lucky he did not see the state Janet was in.....

I've a feeling that this year's Meet is going to be somewhat unconventional.

A fat suit wouldn't suit me, though. I've been a thin thing all my life
- the Headmaster at Junior School used to call me 'Skin and Bones'.

I'll think of something different, no doubt.

I will, of course, complete this ensemble with the family pearls.

I'm having my hair crimped especially for the occasion as I'd hate to be wearing this very stylish outfit and not look one's best in the hair department. :P :P

I can think of nothing more suitable for one of your tender years, but do not forget a cameo brooch and silver tipped walking cane. One must keep up standards, old girl.

I will, of course, wear spats and Oxford bags with a mustard coloured velvet waistcoat, fob watch, bow tie on white silk, and Harris jacket, all topped off with a jauntily angled Harrington flat cap.

I've changed me mind! I could never compete on the sartorial front.
