Good morning all.

Not a very pleasant one here. Overcast and drizzling.

Not much planned for this morning except a visit to the anti-coagulation clinic.
Then deciding what to take for our holiday break that starts tomorrow. They do
forecast that the weather will be brighter next week - I hope they're right.

Kaz - I hope B's cough gets sorted out and cured, (fingers crossed).

Morning all

The washing machine has been working hard out today. I think there were at least 4 loads gone through.
Did a bit of shopping today. Spent far to much on knickers and bras, and i'm not counting how many I got. nothing over $20 though!! some down from $79!! Still, the last I bought I think was about 3 or 4 years ago, so long overdue. This "missey is now at school" lark could get quite expensive.
I went to silverdale, (15 mins north on the motorway) on the way home, I managed to make a wrong turn on the way back to the motorway, (well technically I was following the diversion signs, then they disappeared) and I ended up on the wainui rd, found a T intersection, left to kaukapakapa and right to waiwera. Neither sounded right. I'm in the middle of farmland, about an 1/8th of a tank of petrol left, and an hour and a half before I pick up oliver. so I choose Waiwera, as I know my way from there, only I forgot that it was even further north than silverdale, and i'm trying to head south back to Auckland. Then my country road turned to gravel, then one lane.... followered a river, it was quite picturesque, then I figured out where I was, and made it to a petrol station in time. phew. Next I'm going to look on a map and see where I went.

I've just checked the map. Holy Moly. For a start, there is no way that road was ever going to the motorway. I have know idea why the sign was even there??? I wonder how many others have got lost today.

Hubby looked and said, "so your washing the car tomorrow then?" (referring to the metal roads) and "just as well you have so much time on your hands now, so you can go off on country drives."

We have diversion signs like that Weks - you really do end up in the middle of no.where and no signs anywhere

Good luck with the viewing Jen - wish ours would get some

But I bought three pairs of cut-offs for 15 euros, a pair of flip-flops for 2 and 4 pillows for 13, so I'm quite pleased :D

Good luck at the health place thingy for B Kaz, hope she gets sorted out soonest xx

Afternoon all, it's a very dull, dreary and damp day here today, after such a nice day yesterday :( We met another builder this morning, neither of us liked him, so he won't be awarded the tender! Then Mr. Osc collected Michael from playschool and they are now down in our old post office building playing! We brought M to have a look at it last week, he thought it was all great fun and asked to go there again today  I've been to the (real) post office, back a good while and they are still out! I feel I've hit a bit of a wall in my recovery, don't seem to have progressed much at all this week although I felt so good on Monday. I did sit into the car today, needed to reverse it just a little bit, and hope to take it out over the weekend.

Nanna, hope you have news of an improvement for your DIL today. Kaz, poor B, coughing is just so wearing, hope she gets sorted out at the clinic today. Everyone else, have a good day :)
