Dear DiL had a total hysterectomy last Tues, plus a cyst removed that was attached to her bladder. She was sent home on Saturday. I've just heard that Samantha was taken into hospital at 4 am today (which happens to be here birthday) She's on IV antibiotics, etc. apparently, she got an infection in the private hospital where she had the op. She's now in Oldham hospital. They haven't decided on what infection she has, could be C.Dif. I only learned she was taken in from FB! Only just managed to talk to son. Gave him an earful about not contacting me. It's a poor do when you learn something like this from FB !!!

what is is though with people and putting news like this on FB before they inform family members? It happens so often - I'd also be just a tad annoyed if I had to find out that way rather than having been told
