Morning everyone, Dr Jazz had a great gig yesterday thoroughly enjoyed and applauded by everyone, we went on unto 5p.m
Should have ended by four. We played in the minstrels gallery! I was tired by the time I arrived home, went to bed around 7.30 awoke around 11 and that was the amount of sleep I had. I was awake "all night" fed Oscar at 5.30.
I await the arrival of that wretched fridge freezer from Currys it should have been delivered Thursday. I am furious
They say it will arrive today tomorrow bank holiday. I have given all the freezer food away. Not one reply from Currys
Or any department thanks Molly for your help. Dead end no reply to emails.What a crap country where customers can be treated this way all " all for money " with a total disregard for the purchaser.

It's as grey as John Major's underpants here, and drizzling steadily. It was summer last week, what happened?

Morning all, it's overcast here but not raining which is something - the sun is making an occasional effort to break through but hasn't succeeded so far. We've just spent some time packing away the Royal Doulton set which came from my family home - in great nick, but there is just so much of it, 94 pieces Miss Osc has always said she would take it, but I don't think she realises how much there is, so will talk to her about it. If she decides not to take it, we might try and sell it on DoneDeal or similar, it could suit an outdoor caterer. We are going to hers for our dinner today, we did say that we didn't want her to feel she has to have us just to give Mr. Osc a break, but she said she wants to have us, so that's ok. There's cycling, golf and Ireland playing football today, so plenty to watch for the men of the house Enjoy your day everyone whatever you have planned - it's not a bank holiday weekend here, not that that makes any difference to us retired people

We've had quite a good time considering it involved shopping
Before we went I tried Argos and they had the blinds in mocha, which is perfect, so I reserved those as well
They didn't have the black (or silver, which is what I wanted) so still ahd to go to homebase as well.

Kaz the old ones are apple green, which I would've had again (the kitchen is cream units, browny worktop, cream/mocha tiles) but they don't do it any more so both sizes weren't left. Whatever we have gets wrecked because we had the door reversed (ie it opens outwards) as it makes so much more room inside, so if it's raining and you open the door the top of the blind gets wet. It needs a blind as the morning sun really is blinding, plus of course it's better if it's dark in there at night.
Anyway mocha's just right and I wasn't about to buy anything else just to match

Where Homebase is, they now have a Home Bargains, we'd never been in one of those so that was good, found some bargains
After Argos (Christchurch) I treated us to lunch in our favourite place, an independent rather than the chains trying to take over, yummy panninis and good coffee
And instead of Morrisons we popped into M&S and Bb's treated us to the meal deal with a steak each for dinner
And we even stopped at Lidl as well - must be a record-breaker of shopping for us two
Oh and I also got a brand new M&S skirt in a charity shop, a pretty bright turquoise cotton one

It's a bit windy but I'm about to check the tide times, see if we can take Minnie down to the sea wall

We have had a very nice afternoon, lovely roast lunch washed down with copious pinot, I am slightly drung - yet again - so typing carefully

We've been googling the resort in Cyprus where we are off to in April next year, to my BIL's wedding, looks lovely

called go ape climbing up rope ladders and on zip wires ugh said it was great
and they were muddy

I've heard of Go Ape - it looks a bit strenuous for my tastes but apparently it's good fun
