Mr. Osc got one of those as a fun present from Miss Osc Christmas 2011 - he used it and liked it but it got very gunky and wasn't easy to keep completely clean, so we got rid of it recently.

My daughter is a bit of an outdoors girl and likes to go off a-wandering... the back end of Thailand, Cambodia, Viet Nam sort of thing. Last time she came home she was saying that they were in the middle of nowhere when the power went off - no lights etc. etc..

So I bought her a wind-up lantern torch for Christmas! Seemed like the perfect present. 8-)

Went down like a lead balloon.... good job I had a diving watch as back up. ;) :D

I've had a wind up torch for a couple of years and love it. So useful.

As for the foot thingy, hubby saw that advertised on TV and murmured about it being really good and so useful. I could see myself getting that for Christmas so I soon put an end to that idea.
