I really WAS seeing double!!!

Postby Ally » 14 May 2014, 12:43

On the razz Thursday, Friday and Saturday - not once going to bed before 3am  meant I was a teeny weeny bit still drung on the Sunday morning whilst enjoying a fab full English breakfast at the hotel. :D :D

A bespectacled man in his 40's comes and asks me what I'd like to eat and I tell him I want everything..I was starving.

Jacob was already at the table and he remarked that the man wasn't wearing his glasses and had a different shirt on when he'd served him a few moments earlier. :geek:

Don arrives at the table and the man who'd served me, but not wearing glasses, came and asked what Don would like.

A moment later Conor bumbles down and the waiter without his glasses attends to him.

A few minutes later Jacob and myself get presented with breakfast by the man without his glasses.

Off he goes and a nano second later he appears again with Don and Conor's food wearing his glasses and a different shirt!

Bearing in mind a) lack of sleep and b) this was 9am we were a bit confuddled and full of giggles.

Checking out the lovely owner got chatting to us, it's her hotel.....and yes, she runs it with her identical twin sons!

That is so funny Ally. :D It reminds me that years ago in a little family run hotel in Tuscany, there was a young waiter who was on duty morning, noon and night, never seeming to get time off. I just assumed that the son of the house was putting his back into the family business and it was only the day before we left that one of my friends pointed out that there were two sons. They weren't even identical so there was no excuse for me. In my defence they both wore black suits and white shirts.

Lol!!!

My two bosses, brothers though not twins, often get mistaken for each other... people say they can only tell them apart on account of one wearing glasses  They have very different personalities though!
