It was sad to read....

Postby meriad » 14 May 2014, 12:06

that Stephen Sutton passed away this morning.

A young man who wanted to raise a few thousands pounds (I think the target was £10 000) for the Teenage Cancer Trust after he was told his cancer was terminal. A young man whose determination to reach his aim drew the attention of lots of people, some of them famous - most of them regular people like us, with most of these strangers donating to his chosen charity. This has resulted in over £3 million being donated to date

My heart breaks for his family - the pain they must be going through right now is unimaginable; but the pride they must have in their son for what he indirectly achieved hopefully will see them through these difficult times

Very sad. He was an inspiration. I hope his family can gain a little comfort from all the good he has done in his short life. God bless.

Tragic, such an inspiration. He never stopped thinking of others afflicted with this insidious disease . Bless his dear heart

Terribly sad. Only 19, but what a legacy he has left.

What a remarkable young man.

Words seem so inadequate for expressing one's admiration for him.

Rest in peace Stephen.
