I've not been on here for ages...
The past two weeks have been nothing short of bonkers!

I won't go into detail but it's been non-stop with friends and family visiting us here - and then topped with 5 truly wonderful days in Nottingham, Northampton and Birmingham.

To be back in Duston for the Squirrel's charity footy day on Saturday and the party later was just fab - meeting up with all our friends that we hadn't seen since we moved to Spain almost 11 years ago.
Everyone was amazed at the height of Jacob and Conor!

We had a lovely day on Sunday for the little get together to celebrate Joan's 90th birthday.

I feel very, very blessed to be surrounded by so much love in our family and know we're very lucky to have such genuinely good friends.

Another wonderful memory to be stored away. xxxx

Welcome back Ally. Glad it all went so well, after the little hitch about Jacob's passport!

I forgot to tell you all that I met Jacob in Malaga when he brought his temporary passport to the cafe where Ally and I were having coffee. Such a handsome lad and very like his Mum except she doesn't have a beard! Then the very next day I met the whole family at the airport, another two handsome men.

Oh gosh Paddy - so much has happened since last week I forgot about the passport debacle!

Yes everyone - 24 hours before we flew to the UK Jacob admitted he'd lost his passport at the Valencia music festival he'd been at the previous weekend.

He realised it was missing when he unpacked on the Sunday night, reported it to the police on the Monday, went into Malaga and got photos taken and filled the form in that he'd got from the Embassy.

Wednesday morning as I was having coffee with Paddy - Jacob was just round the corner getting his new emergency passport.

When Don asked him why he hadn't mentioned anything to us - Jacob in his very, very, very! laid back manner said "I knew I would get it sorted and then I was going to tell you."

At passport control at East Midlands airport the man told Jacob he was very lucky to get a 'return' passport - normally it's a one way journey!
