My house pongs a bit

Postby tonicha » 27 Nov 2012, 21:48

We have not eaten a lot today - and I do like my food - so after dinner and just before I retire, I suggsted a snack.

I bought the most scrummiest bread today - in Lidl's and it was still warm :o

So, I hacked the bread about - couldn't find the bread knife so ended up using a steak knife, which was far too small, but it worked - ish - and then fried up some left over mushrooms and 3 different chorizos from Saturday. Added some lovely smoked goats cheese and now the house pongs

Blame the cheese myself

I do hope no-one comes round tomorrow, I'm sure the house will still smell a bit

 Mine smelled of wet dawg yesterday afternoon after our yomp round the quagmire that used to be a field opposite our house!   It was fine after she'd had a rub down and I'd been round with the pet smell Febreeze

This morning it will smell of lavender M&S room spray once I've had the hoover round 8-)

That food sounded yummy Ton, well worth the pong! I like goats cheese and milk - I'm a recent convert from the cows versions ;) :D

I went to Lidl last week for the first time - I was fairly impressed, although I wouldn't buy their fruit again as it 'turned' very quickly :? . The other stuff I bought was great! Didn''t buy any fresh bread though so I must try that next time 8-) :D

Speaking of smells, we bought a few items at the outdoor market in Wakefield last saturday. there was one stall selling olives stuffed with feta cheese, feta cheese on it's own (lovely) and other Greek style foods like Baklava. I also got some pickled onions daubed in some red stuff. "Fancy the greeks having pickled onions", I thought.
So, a couple of days later I ate some. After a few I noticed that these onions were a funny shape.
Gradually (slowly comes to dawn to some folk) I realised that these weren't onions, but small cloves of garlic..

Ah well, it'll keep the vampires away!
