Sometimes black, red, starred, moving, still - have tried to make sense of them but alas so far to no avail

Black circle means you have read all posts, red means there are new posts, moving means it is a popular and busy thread

Eh? They all look the same, I only get the scrolling one, the rest are the same colour........ or is it because I am a bloke and the colours are not strong enough for me to see?
