I'm a bit disappointed really. I had been reading about all the eating and staying places and thinking that I would try to make the effort to get down there. However, hubby wanted to go to Beamish and he went and booked the hotel for that particular week, not knowing I was thinking about the Brum meet. Oh well. I will try again for next year. I will read about all your adventures with great interest and look forward to being able to meet you all eventually.

Just read the start of this thread and realised that I should have posted a "yes" here instead of the other thread. I'll get onto Easyjet and Premier Inn right away.

Hubby's booking at the Premier is the sort that can't be changed so can't try that avenue.
