Afternoon all, it's dried up here for the time being. Billy and I just took advantage of the fact and went for a long walk.

Did the gym this morning and then ran into town, Joe wanted me to pick something up from Game for him as he needed to be 16 to get it - it's his 14th birthday today. Can't believe my baby is growing up so quickly! It's pizzas for tea tonight, I just have to put the buttercream on his cake and then cover it in M&Ms. I know I mentioned before that Tom hadn't had a birthday card or anything from his Godfather and his family (M's an old friend of John's who he now only sees at Christmas to exchange presents, usually a last minute meet up on Christmas Eve afternoon) and I was wondering if it had either been lost in the post or if they'd just decided to stop sending. One of their daughters had her birthday in March and I sent a book voucher giftcard. Anyway, nothing's come for Joe in the post today from them so it looks like they've decided not to reciprocate. Oh well. He's happy with what he's had, an X Box One and some games, money, lots of sweets, tickets for him and John to see Lee Evans at the NIA in September (I bought them a year ago and forgot about them until I saw Joe watching him on TV the other week, I'd not told him I'd got tickets so thought he could have them for his birthday and printed out the confirmation). We'd actually refused to buy him the X Box One as we don't spend that kind of money on them but Game did an excellent trade in deal with his old X Box and all of his games.

Have a good day all!

Aw Happy Birthday Joe, sounds like he is doing very well indeed Jo ;) :D 8-) I remember that stuff with the Godparent, I guess at least now you know where you stand :? xxxx

Well it has rained here on and off all day, but D and I had a nice mooch at Trioscape :D I got the Patch Magic stuff we needed for the lawn, and a weed spray for the front gravel, some plant food and another small tray of bedding type plants just to fill in what I've already planted. Only spent £30 this time so pleased with myself - I usually spend a fortune in there     Oh hang on I bought lunch this time - a cheese jacket spud and salad each! D usually insists on treating me but this time I insisted ;) Aggers I noticed on the menu that they also do an offer for OAPs, like they do at the one you visit.........on a Wednesday, 10% off of roast dinners ;) :)

Thanks Kaz xx

It's pouring down here again. It rained solidly up until around 1pm so we ran out for that walk as soon as it stopped and was just starting again when we got home around 2.15pm, now it's pouring again.

Have you tried that Patch Magic before? I'm curious to know if it's any good. You've also reminded me that I should've got some weed killer spray for our front gravel when I was in town

:) :) :) :)

Evening all from the Black Box, late as usual - although not such a mad day as yesterday turned out to be - thank goodness :!: :!:

Gracious you have all been busy today and far too many people for my poor feeble brain to individually reply to, which would incidentally take the rest of my life, So suffice to say hope everyone has had a great day and wish all a very pleasant evening :) :)

Warm :?: again today, but still very windy and according to the forecast more rain and storms on the way................ how :?: :?: why :?: what :?: :?: it is May is it not :?: or did İ drink too much wine and its now October :?: :?:

Looking very black over Bill's Mother's at the mo :) :) (An old local Midlands saying - anyone know what it means) :?: :?:

So take care all

BB.................... aka DT
