Afternoon all, what started as a bright and sunny day has turned grey, cool and showery. I've got a few presents to wrap for Joe's birthday tomorrow and I might make his cake tonight - chocolate with chocolate buttercream and two family bags of M&Ms for decoration
It's debatable whether the entire contents of both bags will make it onto the cake though.....

Pretty please forward a slice over to me, Turkish cakes look wonderful but are usually as dry as old sticks :!: :!:

Good evening all :) :)

Hope everyone has had a great day, summer is back here in Tinky, thank goodness, some boats actually went out today, but not ours as TK is still away getting someone elses boat ready :( :(

Have personally had a very strange day - about 10 am phone call from TK go to the harbour now (our friend) Nejat has money for you. Okay off and running. Arrived, waited..........waited....................and waited, eventually Nejat arrived and gave me 100TL about 30 GDP

Great thanks, off shopping for me. Get home TK rings what do you need shopping wise ........... errr well not a lot have already done that............... well Nejat is in Tansas (local market) and will be bringing you more goods soon.

Nejat and my BİL arrived by taxi both absolutely hammered, having drunk a bottle of bailey's and half a botttle of whisky
with 150TL of food etc (oh and 15 kilos of washing powder, so anyone need washing done İ'm your lass) :!: :!:

BİL who is a largish guy sat on my sun-bed, and poof ............ sunbed is now in 50 separate parts. Then Negat gave me another 500TL, went to shop and bought me wine and cigs, and surprisingly Turkey Slices :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: and then left in a taxi with BİL :?: :?:

So just tryinng to process all this................ and you think your life is exciting

:) :) :) :)

Take care

Oh Kaz you would not believe the goings on that go on :!: :!: But do miss Sainsbury's, loved it when they put those recipe cards next to all the ''strange foods' eg Foreign and we would go home and try and cook some oriental type thing................screw it up and end up with egg and chips :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

But every week did buy a bunch of Lillies, :!: well 3 actually, really love white lillies - why are they considered death flowers :?: :?:
