For once the wi fi is good here so just a quick hello oThe weather has been a mixed bag but we had a scorchio day yesterday and the food and comfort here is amazing - we wil lroll off that plane lol
Today we caught the bus to corfu town half the shops were shut as it was Mayday and there were worker strikes (trust us to pick today lol
) but enough were open for us to have a very pleasant wander to buy a few presents and a few bits for myself - a lovely olive wood bracelet and ring (no room for the salad bowl again Di ) and we stopped at a cafe by the harbour for a drink and a chat with the owner Everyone has been very apologetic about the weather as it has not been good apart from yesterday - hardly their fault mind you lol but we are told tomorrow it is forecast hot as is Saturday so there is hope of a tan yet
Tomorrow we are booked on a boat ride around the southern tip of the island and have ordered a picnic lunch to take with us
It is the same guy Mike who ran the boat trip to mouse island and corfu town we took before - he recognised us lol in fact several of the hotel staff have - not sure if we made a good or a bad impression though lol Anyhow the trip is to a remote secluded bay famous for its clear water and shells. There is snorkelling but I told "Mike the boat guy" that I get scared with my face underwater so he promised to dive for some shells for me We have also shared a few lovelyvmeals and drinks with the friends who are here until tomorrow, so all in all it iw splendiferous
