buggeration

Postby meriad » 30 Apr 2014, 08:04

Not sure why but I always get the renewal date of my MOT wrong - thinking it's in May, whereas it's actually due in April!!!  :o :o :o

So just booked it in for tomorrow but am dreading it as I really am worried it's going to fail. So fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow

Ria, the thing bout having a "raw" MOT done is that you get to know the truth about the car, even if you do not want the truth.

I hope all goes well, fingers and toes crossed.

Everything crossed here too - we need cars, but don't need the expense

I know Frank but the car is in dire need of a service and I was hoping to get that done BEFORE the MOT - my own stupid fault. Although the mileage is very low (only 65000) it is 12 years old and bits and pieces of it are falling apart and it really is way overdue some TLC.

But c'est la vie - it is what it is and I'll just have to deal with whatever tomorrow throws at me. sigh :(

The thing is, Ria, that you could have had the service done and still the car fails the MOT - been there thrown the money away.

On the other hand you might get a nice surprise and find that it only needs a damned good service for a new lease of life. Let's hope that's the way it goes. :)

Next year I will send you a reminder at the beginning of April as mine will be due at that time.

I get a letter from the garage I use to say the MOT is due again.
Hope it doesn't want too much doing.
