Sounds a good plan to me Jen - and so much better to do it sooner rather than later, while you have plenty of years to enjoy it, and less house to look after :)
I understand completely about your mother, and am pleased you realise it's not important to be there as often as you are now. You'll be able to talk to those looking after her just as much as you want and visit too of course x

Good afternoon.

After a misty start, the sun came out and it was warm. Took car for the MOT and service, then shopping. After a coffee back to pick the car up. Only needed one new bulb. Then to the post office to renew
the road tax and post some letters including one to the USA.
After lunch went to pick up some trousers which I had been shortened and mrs.e had a zip put in a top. This has been done by a friend who has been a dressmaker. Much cheaper and quicker than any of the local shops.

Then to Darwen to drop off tools, screws and other items which I no longer need. These will be used by a charity workaid.org. Found this after seeing an article in DM at the beginning of April. Better than taking it to the dump.
There are several collection points in the UK with details on the web site.
