Btw in the late 70's I worked in London. I was going down the Euston Road one day and spray painted on one of the road signs there were the words "Suggs, Chelsea"!

That definitely sounds like the sort of thing he got up to Cromwell

Yep, I recently read his book and Suggs was his graffiti tag, and Chelsea his football team...and the Euston Rd isn't a million miles away from where he lived and hung out

He chose the name Suggs from his mums book of Jazz musicians. He looked through it and there were so many great names, he got a pin and stuck it in and it landed in the middle of the name, PETER Luckily Peter's surname was Suggs

That really made me laugh when I read it in his book
