They won't have fun Kate, it will be a complete nightmare :?
It will be such a huge job that all sorts of stuff will just end up being thrown away :?

A bit of both I think - I still have my wedding dress (!!) up in the loft, along with photos, some of those belonged to my mam, I don't know who many of the people in them are!!  I also inherited some letters that she and my dad exchanged when he was away during the war - his writing is hard to decipher but I have them still....I'll never part with those.

But my home is largely ornament free, I have few bits and bobs really, and I don't collect anything :)

Hmm well on the surface my house is clutter free but my wardrobe and drawers are stuffed full these days as I hate parting with clothes, plus I yoyo with my weight so keep different sizes  I do keep alot in vac bags too

I'm fairly ruthless with 'stuff' though all I tend to hang onto are old photos and a few old cards etc that the kids have made me :)

Grumpy is the hoarder - especially with his work stuff. It's always, I'll keep those rusty screws  just in case I need that size

We severely decluttered when we moved here and we were talking about it, for when we hopefully move again.

A lot of stuff does have some lovely memories, who gave us this, that and t'other. But the house we're hoping to move to is almost half this size  and no stairs for me to put all me bits on

I have two Portuguese urns, which I love - Grumpy said that they can go - Certainly Not, says me. They can go outside on the terrace

So, really, a bit inbetweener  bordering on the clutter  ish

I have to admit I AM A HOARDER When young I had little as my parents were not well off.
I left home at 16 and joined the army and during that time I accumulated very little.

Since then after I settled and had children I tend to throw little away unless useless, my eldest lad is 43 and I still have his action man toys and clothes etc stored away. Along with the things of the other three kids too and if something might have a use I save it .

We have done loads and loads of decluttering in recent months to prepare for our eventual house move. It's quite amazing when you look at things that seemed important 20-30-40 years ago, and now just take up space - I threw away a whole box of theatre programmes (none of them were worth anything, I checked ;) ) - many were from our years living in London and although I could remember the musicals, there were loads of programmes for plays of which I had absolutely no memory. I do try to keep our clothes reduced and give stuff to Oxfam several times a year. I'm sure we will manage even more if/whenever we sell the house.

Thinking of you and sending vibes for and after your forthcoming op'
Inspite of feeling rotten yesterday I spent the day placing and sorting papers bills etc into the massive cabinet I "bought"
Last week. It is almost full. But what a difference that cabinet has made!
I am going to the doctors this morning appointment 10.25 lucky to get in.
Mouth, throat and oesophagus really sore and burning when I drink anything.
I am rarely unwell so this is a bit of a pain. Literally as well as metaphorically.
Have a good day everyone. :(

I am and I'm not.

Around the house its not too bad - I have few ornaments but far too many books. I have little on display other than photos and a few choice bits and pieces. Open my drawers and cupboards and its another thing.

Why do I need all those cd's when we no longer own a cd player? Probably for the same reason that we have about 200 records in the attic but no record player!

The attic is pretty bad - it has everything stuffed in there. I keep saying that I am going to clear it out but still haven't gotten around to it.

some of them are probably worth a fair bit of money Debih; you should make a list of what you've got and go online and see how much they sell for ;-)

I am determined to sort out my bedside table which has become a dumping ground for all sorts of little things; when I moved 7 years ago I just taped it shut and moved it contents and all

My coffee table is actually a small pine chest that is full to the brim with photo's and empty photo albums. I really need to sort through the photo's and throw loads away as so many are of people and places I either don't even remember any more and that have no special meaning; the rest needs to go into said albums.

those two areas are my worst; then it's the shed
