No love, the right things to do are: Pay back all the money you stole; then get sacked and not get another £17,000 of the public's money for resigning; then be met on the steps of Westminster by Plod waiving a warrant for your arrest.

When she got elected in 2006 her local election agent in Basingstoke was a Tory councillor. By the end of the campaign he loathed her so much that he voted Labour. That tells you something.
When she was elected she had a £200,000+ mortgage on a house in Wimbledon. She then re-mortgaged it for an additional £150,000 before later re-mortgaging it again, upping the mortgage to £500,00+.
So she got £300,000 in her pocket.
Back then the taxpayer paid the mortgage interest on the property so we were now having to pay the interest on a £500,000 mortgage as opposed to a £200,000 one.
She sold the house for £1.5 million, keeping the £1 million profit.

If this isn't legally corrupt it is certainly morally corrupt.

As I have stated, they cover each other's backsides. They nearly all have dealings if made public that would cause an uproar.
The woman's arrogance is beyond belief. And Cameron should hang his head in shame for supporting a fraudster in the way he has. Across the board I doubt whether there is more than half a dozen who have not ripped off the long suffering Tax Payer. Vote Farage, (I never thought I would see the day when I would vote UKIP) but I shall with a good many others who are sick to death of the motley self serving baskets we have supposedly looking after our interests.

Fully endorse Kate's post. And there is an additional twist to this story ....

The twerp Cameron consistently supported Miller, an expenses cheat, and steadfastly did not sack her.

After she begrudgingly fell on her sword at long last, Michael Fabricant, Conservative MP for Lichfield, subsequently tweeted that it was a good thing she had resigned. He also, in passing, strongly opposes HS2 as it's going to cause immense damage and pain to his constituency.

He was told yesterday to resign as a Tory vice-chairman - and then when he refused, Fabricant was sacked!! Why? For being a good local MP who supports his constituents and speaks his mind!

The Conservative party is a shambles; I have nothing but contempt for it. I have not voted for it for years now, and nothing I see in it today would change my mind.
