Morning everyone

Still blowing a hooley and although we've not had as much rain as forecast, the sky is black  so will be stuck insidefor the day

Sounds a lovely walk Debih, I love my morning walk down to the beach :D just not doing it this morning

So I might just do daft things like pull the cooker and fridge out and clean behind them

Have a lovely day with your parents Ally, and hope you all have a good 'un too xx

Ally that is what I get the moment I am by the sea - a feeling of perfect peace :) 8-) Less so near rivers or lakes, but similar! I must be a true fishy (Pisces) ;) :) I would LOVE to live near water

Di hope all goes well today for you - I have actually almost enjoyed the clean so far, I bought a Flash Magic Eraser and it's bought all my kitchen tiles up a treat, it was almost fun :? :P   Have done all the downstairs paintwork and walls, it looks nice and fresh. Upstairs will be for another day :P

Ton it must be Spring Fever   :?

I need a new window cleaner, ours hasn't been for months and although I have done the outsides downstairs myself they need a professional 'go' really, plus neither of us is really any 'cop' up ladders these days for the higher ones

Off out for my walk in a minute :)

Good afternoon all! After a foggy start it's absolutely gorgeous here :D

I've been to the gym, walked Billy and done a load of washing that's now drying nicely. I've also read spoilers for the very last episode of How I Met Your Mother, we're still quite a few weeks off seeing it here yet and I couldn't wait to find out how it ended.

I would love to live by the sea. Walking by the sea is so much nicer and more relaxing than walking in the countryside. I have a friend who lives on the Kent coast and I used to be so envious when she walked her boys to and from school because, apart from a couple of minutes either end, she could do the school run along the beach.

I've just taken a small parcel in for next door. Being the nosy cow that I am I've managed to suss out from the sender's address that it's either a fake Kors watch or an electronic cigarette twin pack starter kit :P  I'm really hoping it's the e-cig kit. They're both heavy smokers but only smoke outside, by the back door, so if we have our windows open the smell of their smoke drifts into our house - it's okay for them, even on the hottest of days last Summer their windows were all firmly closed. Even in the Winter though they smoke outside and we can smell it whenever we're outside.

Kaz, I bought one of those sponges too - good, aren't they?!! :)

Have a good day all!

Afternoon all, it was gorgeous earlier on but has clouded over now. I had a lovely walk on the pier and completely agree about walking by the sea, there's something so peaceful in the sound of the sea and the wind, and the seagulls wheeling and squawking overheard. I've been a busy little bee (will do another thread) and will shortly be off to the post office and also to buy my brother a card for his 70th at the weekend, we are all heading off to Cork for that. Need to do some sewing when I get back, taking up a black dance skirt so that has to be done in daylight, as I can't see what I'm doing once it gets dark and the lights go on

I have a great recipe for window cleaning stuff, Kaz, got it off FB a few weeks back and it really works, a combination of warm water, dishwasher rinse aid and liquid detergent like Woolite - it's fab on windows and fab on shower doors as well. You hose or sluice down the glass, wipe on this stuff and hose it off - job done!

Enjoy your day everyone :)

Jo they really are, I'm going to buy some more 8-)

Thanks for the tip Osc, might well try that although I would have to buy the dishwasher rinse aid stuff as I don't use it - I buy those all-in-one pod things that have everything in already :)
