The Happy Mothers Day Sunday thread

Postby debih » 30 Mar 2014, 06:24

Morning all. What a lovely comfy bed our holiday bed is. I slept like a log, which is unusual for me in a strange bed. The cider may have helped.

Still in bed. Got up to let the dog out. She tends to wander around between snoozes during the night. It's wooden floors downstairs and on the hall, stairs and landing here. Clippity clop, clippity clop.

Everyone else still asleep I think.

Not sure what the plans for today are but I will be heading to the beach with Millie at some point. I was made to live by the sea!

Good morning Debih, Rodo, and all my other friends here.

It's a lovely morning here. Saw not a soul on my early dog=walk.

Just finished breakfast and about to wake up Mrs A.

Nothing planned for today, so we shall have to see what transpires.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Morning everyone

Sun and clouds for us at the moment, but warm :D

Glad you have a comfy bed Debih, nothing worse on holiday, having a rubbish bed

Will be watching the grand prix, then pootling for the rest of the day.

I made too much pasta yesterday - as normal   - so will be adding roast butternut squash and roast chicken to it for dinner.

Have a lovely day - oh, forgot it's Mothers Day over there - hope all you mum have a really lovely day - and the step-mums :D :D

Morning :)
Quite nice here, not exactly sunny but much warmer than it has been.
Glad it's a good bed Debih, enjoy the beach :)

Bb's mum's coming this morning, she was going to her own mum and dad yesterday. I made a spicy fruit loaf so we can all have some of that :)
Other than that, Bb's watching the Grand Prix, and later we're planning on the beach too, and maybe lunch at the café :)
Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning one and all :D Lovely sunny day here. D is off on a tango workshop...but brought me breakfast in bed first :D
I shall be mainly pottering and relaxing today...a little sewing or gardening will fit the bill.
No doubt my boys will be round this afternoon :D
Wishing everyone a good day and special thoughts to those of you who have no mother here to cuddle xxx

Good morning everyone :) :)

Happy Mother's Day :) I am still in bed  I've had some toast and I know there are cards and possibly flowers waiting for me downstairs - we totally overslept as the time difference confused the pups, and we were out late last night ;)

Becky is cooking lunch, there is lamb and stuff from the M&S meal deal - Mick is going to have to supervise her timings :?

Have a great day everyone, extra hugs for those of us missing our own mums today for whatever reason (((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))))))

Good morning all, it's a lovely one here with hazy sunshine.

I was out with Billy before 8am. John's boss had just turned up as John was taking him out for some cycling training and Tom was out for his paper round. We had such a lovely walk. We came across a lovely old man in the woods who was walking his 16 week old Collie puppy - oh she was so cute and tiny!! And beautifully behaved! I stood talking to him for about 20 minutes. We walked about four miles and got home around 9.30.
Since then I've dyed my eyelashes and made a pasta bake for John's lunches this week. I'm resisting opening the lovely big box of Thornton's that Tom's given me. I've got some fresh pizzas for lunch with cheesecake for pud. After that we'll go and see my Mom. John's going to cut their lawns. Dad's got a nasty leg ulcer so can't do much and he's very fussy about his lawns being kept tidy. It's really knocked him around this time, it's one which healed before but recurred and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as this before but he's been fobbed off by the GP several times before being referred to the ulcer clinic. They were upset that they couldn't get to the two cemeteries with it being Mother's Day so I got some lovely potted azaleas yesterday and John, Joe and myself took them to the graves.

Have a good day everyone and lots of love to those missing their mothers today xxxx
