Morning everyone

Sun and clouds for us and we also have rain and strong winds on their way - and for next week too

Sounds lovely Kaz, have a great time catching up xx

Bits and bobs for us too - will probably make the most of the last of the sun for a week and sit outside with a book though

Glad Bb's eye is improving daily Di x

Hope you all have a good day xx

I'm rather excited this morning as I'm off to Hereford to see my mate R (Herefordgunners from DD and Femail) which is lovely, and even more exciting is that we are meeting up with SooMoggy, also from DD and Femail :D :D :D All a bit last minute-y, it was suggested as a possibility last week then on Tuesday all was decided :) Have known Soo for over 11 years online so meeting her finally will be brilliant 8-) :D Mick is taking me which is lucky as public transport between here and Hereford is a nightmare - the train goes either via Brum or South Wales, the National Express coach doesn't depart Gloucester until the afternoon and the bus takes over two hours

Have a lovely day everyone xxxxxx

Kaz I am SOOOO jealous!! I'd have loved to meet R and Soooo (and you again of course!)....haven't been online till now to say, please give them both my love and good wishes xxxx

It's been a funny week, work-wise - both bosses away on a course for two days, so clinic limited - and did I mention a week or two ago that I'd found a glitch in the software we hire which caused the recall letters to not be sent out? Well that's been sorted with the result that everyone and his dog have wanted appointments.....so we are full/chockablock for the next two weeks and counting!! :D

I was so tired last night I had a bath and a fish supper and then just lolled about on the sofa all night, didn't even switch the laptop on! Then this morning (my day off) I have been to get an Asda shop, popped in Lidl which was eye opening (the prices are amazing, even compared to Asda!) and then have been researching some stuff online and Vaxing my carpet for the third (hopefully last!) time - it's the strip where you sit that's the worst, in front of the couch. The water was not a pleasant colour.....

I am being treated to a massage courtesy of my lovely girl tomorrow at 'her' hotel....followed by lunch out :D I am so looking forward to it! :D

Have a good Thursday all xxx

Good afternoon everybody,

Went to Boundary Mill at Colne this morning. Very busy mainly with silver surfers. There was a special promotion. You got a free tea or coffee and a cake. Had to queue to get into the cafe it was so busy.

Had a knock on the front door at 1.00 a.m this morning. When I looked out of the window, there was an ambulance outside the house next door and a small and large police van outside our house.
Went down stairs and opened the front door. The police wanted to know if we had the access code for the house next door. The lady who lives there is about 80 years old and has had a problem with one hip for many years and has carers visiting several times each day. A small box has been fitted near the front door with a key in as the lady has difficulty walking. Her son, who lives with her and is not married works nights so he was not home.
The paramedics said she had phoned to say she had fallen. As they could not get access they had phoned the police. While I was talking to the police another van came which must have been from the company which provides the carers.
The police asked if they could come through our house to see if they could gain entry through the back door.
They were still outside when I went back to bed having locked up and put the alarm back on.
Mrs.e slept through it all.
Saw the son this morning before we went out. The small box has been removed and a new one will be fitted. He said it was the fault of the company providing the carers.

It was lovely :D We had lunch and sat over it for a couple of hours    Mick wandered off to amuse himself - sensible man ;) I did take my new little camera but was met with horrified looks when I suggested a pic, so no pics I'm afraid :)

Di I passed on your hug and comment, I have a hug for you back :D :D (((((((Di))))))) Gal I would have passed yours on, but was already on my way home before you posted that ;) xxx

Poor lady Cruiser, those boxes should be just what she needs, the care co. must have mislaid/misread the combination, hope she's ok.

Glad you had a good time Kaz and thanks for the hug, hope it made Soooo smile :) x

The fisherman would always make us grin :D The night of the chat it was total, hysterical laughter and for many nights after too, just one of those things :)

Bb and Soooo were in Blackpool , and the said Cliffy - not me though, it was before Bb and I met ;)
Bb says she got him on the Slippery Nipples
