Such a shock once again.

I have just had a shock
My friend`s daughter (my friend lives opposite us) came over just as we were going
out to ask if I had seen her Mum today. I said I hadn't and she said that her car was
in the garage but she wasn't answering her phone or the door bell. I said not to worry
as she had probably gone on a coach trip for the day as she often did and I thought no
more about it :( :(
When we came home about 2 hours later there was five cars outside her house and a
police car so I feared something bad had happened :(
After dinner her daughter came over and said that she had found a key in the greenhouse
and had let herself in and found her Mum dead :o
She must have died yesterday evening as she hadn't been to bed as she still had all her
clothes on.
The poor girl had such a shock and she isn't well herself.
I am upset as my other friend (down the road) was found dead a few years ago by her daughter
in the same way.
This is all getting too close for comfort for us oldies who are still living here as we are all about
the same age.
M suffered with Type 1 diabetes but was very energetic and always keeping her garden perfect.
It must have been very sudden as her son bought her the buzzer thingy that she could press to
get help as they worried about her.

Oh Lissie yes of course it's a shock you must be feeling awful :(
In one way it's really such a nice way to go, given that we all have to, but it is so horrid for those left behind (((x)))

Oh Lissie I am so sorry for the loss of your friend, and also for the daughter as it is awful to find your mum like this - it happened to my poor sister when my mum died the Christmas before last :(

However as Di said for the person themselves it really is the kindest way to go, suddenly like that. My MIL nursed for many years and said if she could choose she would choose to go quickly.

The sudden loss of someone you know is always a shock, and I can
understand just how you must feel.

I agree that the best way to leave this life is to go suddenly like that.
We all have to end our lives sometime. That fact does not trouble me
but I just hope that when it happens to me and to those dear to me it
does not involve pain and suffering.

Sorry to hear that Lissie. Definitely the hardest way for those left behind, but the best way for the departed ones

What a shock to you all. Hugs for you.
This is exactly why my Nana likes my Mum to call her at 8:00 every morning. She really doesn't want to be "found".
