I missed it because we have been so busy gadding about in the sunshine.

Hope you had a lovely day.

Aww shucks!! Thanks everyone!! This thread was an unexpected surprise. ((((group hug)))) :D

I had a lovely day yesterday, I barely got online at all anywhere. Hubby took me out for brunch once I had dropped the little ones off at kindy and preschool (technically he was working from home, so wasn't able to stretch it too far, so I still did the pickups and drop offs), then in the afternoon I sat and read a magazine  while the kids watched sesame street, then we sampled more feijoa wine in the evening.

Today we had to take poor old Sasha off for a blood test. It had to be fasting, so we went first thing. In the end it took 3 nurses and myself to sufficiently restrain her inorder to get the bloods done. Then we had a family cafe breakfast, before she went to small poppies and Oliver and I came home to bake a pavlova for tonights family meal. We have just arrived home from my mums with full bellies, hopefully the kids are asleep now.

Tomorrow is another family meal with hubby's family, this time it is to be lunch, and if the weather is good we will be going here. http://www.postmansleg.co.nz/. On Sundays it's very small kid friendly, and they often have face painting and bouncy castles along with the permanent sandpit. it's pretty much the only family friendly pub on the North Shore where I live. Most pubs are places you go to drink, and drink hard, fall down and go home. :? So I like to support this place, it's so erm.... British. :D I have fond memories of the sunday roast at the pub watching all the families there.

So, long story short, It's a weekend long birthday, so nope, none of you are late. :D :D :D

that sounds like a perfect weekend to me Weka, lots of family and food (and wine of course!  ). And pavlova - I just absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE pavlova!

I do like the look of that pub. We are so lucky as there are loads of fairly child friendly pubs quite close by and it does make a difference being able to meet up with friends who have kids and not have to worry about them making too much noise etc
