16 June is when I hand over the chairs hat but I am hoping to start handing over to whoever will be the new chair ASAP after 7 April.

I was. I'm so relieved.

I've really enjoyed doing it and I will miss it (or at least miss the head) but I am looking forward to not having all the hassle.

And I intend on keeping in touch with the head. I will still see her as I'm still on the governing body but I do class her as a friend so I intend on meeting up for lunch, etc now and again. She lives near ikea so I can do lunch and shopping!

I have followed this thread with interest, Debih, but did not feel in a position to
give advice. It is certainly no good continuing in that sort of situation if your heart
is not in it, or if it is proving too much to cope with satisfactorily.

In the circumstances I think you handled it very well and did the right thing.
