Having been out of goold ole blighty for a long time - I haven't a clue what passata is
I'm assuming - rightly or wrongly - that it is a tomato based sauce, with possible basil and other herbs in it.
Can I make my own? We can get different types of tomato in tins, diced, whole, plum etc and I vaguely remember seeing in Lidl's, a tin of chopped tomato with basil and other stuff - muito expensive though
I'm doing a meatball thingy in a couple of days and passata is in the recipe.
