News about Cal

Cal is in need of your vibes/thoughts/prayers at the moment please. Life is very difficult for her and her husband at present.

She is still very ill, having picked up an infection whilst in hospital, which was thought to be the norovirus. She has been confined to her bedroom ever since and still is suffering badly. Owing to the nature of the infection of course she has had no visitors. Also, her husband was told he had to watch her at all times owing to the possibility of epilepsy. As far as I can gather there hasn't been much help in the way of giving her husband time out so he can go for a bit of shopping either.

The icing on the cake as far as she was concerned was when she had to cancel the appointment with the epilepsy nurse because of the infection and has now been given an appointment at the end of June. This it seems is hospital policy when people cancel appointments - no matter what the reason for the cancellation.

As as for the new appointment being end June - really ???? That is terrible; surely she should get priority once she feels better

Why is it that you often end up more ill when you come out of hospital than you were when you went in!

Poor Cal, awful for her husband too. Wishing her a speedy recovery, and I hope that she can get an earlier appointment seeing as she wouldn't have had to cancel if she hadn't picked up the infection in hospital!
