Good morning everyone.

It's a lovely morning here, and the view from our lounge window of the bit of the garden
that we have "adopted'' is so colourful, with polyanthus, crocus, and primrose in bloom,
and dozens of tulip leaves shooting up. It's so restful to just sit and look at it and forget
all the things that annoy. How did that poem go? -

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.

How true.

Have a lovely day.

Well that was a complete waste of a journey

The guy who does the outside maintenance at Bente's knew we were coming up this morning - it's a half hour car drive, the last 7kms up a very uncomfy dirt track

When we got there, no water  He decided, he said, to do some maintenance on the pump (she has her own bore-hole, as do many places here) even though he knew we needed water

If he wants to do the inside maintenance and cleaning, then why doesn't he say so? We'd be happy not to go there any more

Makes me mad, as Bent'e is forever giving him and Grumpy the same jobs, trying to keep them both happy. We keep telling her to let J do it all, Grumpy is more than happy to let him do things.

But I'm charging her for our time :P

Oh Aggers, I'm so pleased you have put that. I saw it the other day and thought I would add it to a bit of embroidery I'm doing. Now you have reminded me, so I shall jot it down :D

Kaz, C isn't moving, but F is moving in with him...she is adding her touches ;) hence, some new furniture and rugs etc

That little poem is lovely. :D

I've been in the garden for a couple of hours - I was watching for ages 2 little gold coloured beetles having a wander. :D

Our jasmine is in full bloom and smells divine and the bougainvillea is such a beautiful colour.

Mind you it flowers all year but it looks particular lovely today.

The lemons and oranges are lush looking.

Oooh get me - I've gone all Charlie Dimmocky.

Afternoon all, dull and cold here today :( Mind you, it's probably just as well - I'm cleaning again ahead of another open viewing tomorrow, taking a break at the moment. I've a nice pot of soup simmering on the cooker, which should be ready when I am ready for lunch, just need to hoover and dust, then have my shower and clean the bathroom. I was awake, wide awake, for about two hours during the night, mind just wouldn't quieten down  , it's funny though, had himself turn on the radio once the news started at 7am and promptly fell asleep for almost two hours

We have an early start tomorrow as my aunt's funeral is at 10.30am on the south side of Dublin, so we will need to leave here around 9.30am bearing in mind I don't know where the church is  Before we go, we have to leave the house viewer ready, so have to change our bedlinen and the towels.

Have a good day everyone :)

Good afternoon
Still cloudy and dull but the fog has gone and there is now a breeze.

Have got crocus flowering at the front and back.
Lawn is not in good shape. Lots of brown patches as it wants watering.
