Not getting a thank you really winds me up. My two have been brought up to write a thank you card and when they were younger and cuter (
) I'd put in a photo of them on Christmas morning or on the birthday too. It's not everyone who doesn't bother though, two of my cousins (a sister and brother) always send thank you letters from their sons and, like I used to, always put in a photo and I love receiving those!!
Saundra, when there was the fuss over the Easter eggs - we've not given them eggs since they were little and still lived up here, getting them to them in Wales isn't the easiest thing to do so no idea why Theresa suddenly decided to send our boys some eggs this year - I said that I wasn't going to buy them any, they're too old to start that daft game, and I did say to MIL that Theresa hadn't bothered with Tom's birthday so why should we bother sending them Easter eggs. Like I said, we never paid her for the eggs as it was her decision to buy them on our behalf, just so two adults and a teenager weren't upset by us not buying them any
So, anyway, MIL should realise why we're not being things for them and if she doesn't then she will be told!
The three nephews are her favourite grandosns though so she won't like it
We usually send them £15 each for their birthdays (though the older two had more on their 18th and 21st birthdays) and at Christmas they get a gift and £10 from us.
