Luke is going into the The National Hospital for Neurology in London tomorrow for two days. This is the first time he has stayed in hospital, apart from last year when he had a chest infection and was too poorly to care. We will stay with him all the time, so leaving home at 4.30am tomorrow and back sometime Tuesday. Do you think the hospital would allow us to use the patients shower rooms to freshen up and change our clothes?

Really hope they offer us a side room, as keeping Luke on a main ward will be very very difficult. I tried to ring to discuss it, but firstly it is very difficult to find someone who speaks English and they gave me a bleep number to call for someone called Cyril, but I tried several times and no reply.

I have just rung the ward and yet again a very poor English speaker However, she did say she would try to make sure Luke has a side room, but they cannot provide anything for us to sleep on. There 'might' be a chair.
