When will people take responsibility for their own actions?

The girl is 18 - time she took responsibility for herself. It's not as though someone sat on her and forced the drinks down her throat; she did it all herself. Bar staff can only do so much; they cannot control everything. And yes Red Bull can put a warning label on the tins - in fact I'm sure it's there already - but if you want to drink Jaegerbombs then you're just going to ignore the warnings aren't you?

Sorry it's a pet peeve of mine when people constantly blame others for whats gone wrong; no wonder we're becoming a nanny state

I love (not) how it is made out that the Red Bull did the damage, same as with the orange, blueberry or Irn-Bru in WKDs..... it had nothing to do with the alcohol or the person drinking it!

But in some ways people are encouraged not to take responsibility. As a teacher Mrs C used to attend meetings to discuss the case of a young mother with various issues. The social service's favourite refrain was that everyone should work together to give this girl "the help that she needs". What's wrong with the girl making a big effort herself? But she won't, because everybody else is doing it for her.
Exactly the same words are used over and over again. As well as the above, another current favourite is "more needs to be done" to help whoever.
There have been two recent cases in York where drunken young people have fallen into the river. One drowned, one is missing.
Apparently "more needs to be done" to keep people safe.
Well pardon me, but it shouldn't need a rocket scientist to point out that getting blind drunk and staggering around next to a swollen river is a very poor idea.
We are going to end up with a population with a very "entitled" attitude, sitting around looking dull and expecting help.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the likes of this stupid girl or any others who indulge in what

When sober.
The laws surrounding availability of booze,drinking and drinking hours are a disgrace, we learn that young children can be seen boozing and smoking in parks and street corners.what a dead beat country this has become.
