One of our friends told us about this at the weekend, said he had watched movies on it, so we gave it a try today. Don't how it works, it's recognisably Youtube and this afternoon we watched The Monuments Men, a film we had been planning to go and see. All seems to be free, we saw the whole film, and neither the laptop nor the tv blew up

Had a quick scout around , it seems to be Korean and the general consensus that it is legal, at least in the US. I would worry about viruses/malware though but as long as you have good anti virus......Caveat Emptor I guess

That sounds good, I'll have to look into that.
Every now and again we get a code for US Netflix, we have a UK account but it's not half as good as the US, and there are loads of older shows on there that we love that we don't get here. The Wonder Years is one.

Not half! I have read that some Virgin Media and Sky users find the site blocked "to protect copyright" and that others have had Scamware uploaded to their computers/phones.

It looks like another case of the (copyright) law needing to catch up with the Internet and that someone found the (legal) loophole. The activity to close the loophole has gone into overdrive and at the same time the cybercriminals have moved in to catch as many people as they can before it all goes the way of Napster and the Pirate Bay.
