6 flights diverted to Canaries due to cross winds at airport

Jet 2 from Leeds had a VERY hard landing ,tail dragging runway with a huge shower of sparks,undergoing checks to see if it's ok for return flight

Vic, I thought of you this morning when I heard on the news that the jet stream had moved further south and was finally sparing the UK; but it was a given that it was going to affect somewhere else.

Just hope it does all stop sometime soon

Vic, Jet2, based in Leeds, is making light of the landing..... just one of those things. However, if things stay the same we can expect more of them - at Funchal and LBA.

WM ,just looked at airport site here and it's showing that JET2 flights to LEEDS & MANCHESTER both cancelled
