As if we didn't have enough to worry about with this gale force wind
and pouring rain we now have a huge hole in the M2 motorway

I got held up in the tail back yesterday and took over an hour to do a 10 min journey.

The infrastructure is crumbling in this country as it has been so neglected, and now the extreme weather is exposing that neglect

It was only in the central reservation, you would think they could have sent someone down the hole to see if it was likely to spread and then perhaps just used the hard shoulders rather than close the whole road.

You and I are thinking along the same lines Ped - cone it off for a few hundred metres either side, drop the speed limit and use the hard shoulder - at least till the rush hour is over.

The HA is always like greased lightning when it comes to shutting a road and like an arthritic Sloth when it comes to reopening one.

ETA Sorry Vic, me and Ped need taking to a padded room. :lol:
