Thanks Frank My ex was also very grateful as he knows H will be out of it and only has himself to worry about! His (the ex's) mum lives nearby but if she also gets flooded there is always his best friend who lives much further from the river, or even his dad's in Camberley so he will be fine.

Chris is determined to stay put while he can, but we do have extended family - cousins etc - in nearby towns further from the floods who I know would put him up in an emergency, so he won't be on his own....I have rung twice this morning to ask him if he is sure he doesn't want to wade through it, get to somewhere where Mick can pick him up whilst he is there getting H, but he really doesn't want 'to leave his flat at the moment....

I can understand that Kaz, especially as he's on the second floor.
Would love to say it'll be going down soon but it certainly won't be today x

They are back already! The roads were very good until almost at the ex's and then Mick picked his route round the side roads carefully! God that man is a diamond! I am so relieved
