I think they are saying the possibility of snow overnight on Tuesday? It'll probably be wintery showers.

I think the weather forecasters are so hyped-up at the moment, they don't feel they're doing their jobs properly unless they're forecasting a biblical deluge!

Really pleased to see that Chris has somewhere to go if he loses power in his flat. And very well done to Tesco!

I can live with the rain we're getting here at the moment if it keeps the snow away. I really really REALLY detest snow and ice :(

Well done Tesco anyway :)

It's just dire isn't it. Jo I'm sorry but I along with plenty of others have really, really, really had enough of all the rain :(

Glad Chris is safe Kaz.

I would also prefer the rain to the snow. I don't have to leave my car a mile away at the bottom of the village and walk up and down in the rain. Nor do I have to shovel a path to get out of the house. Nor slip and slide on the ice to get to work.

I really, really feel for those that are affected by the awful flooding but personally, I'd rather keep the rain if the alternative is snow.

So would I Debbie. I know you have problems with snow where you live and it also hung around here for weeks last year and while the main roads were okay, the estate roads weren't and neither were the footpaths, or even the walkways in the busy town centre for that matter, so it was treacherous for walking.

Rain, snow, drought...too much of anything is just difficult to cope with. I think we (as a nation) are all just so weary of it all now and when the rain does stop we still have months of clearing up and drying out to do :(

It will be a nightmare clearing up! The flood was just a road away from my ex and H when I spoke to him this morning, and the water is slowly rising at Chris' place too.........

The pictures on FB are surreal - my old road is flooded, makes me feel weird to think of my old home under water - and there are troops with sandbags on the main road just by where H is :( The worst thing is being so far away, there isn't anything I can actually do :( :(

People on the main BBC news, in Wraysbury where my friend and old NDN lives, crying to the camera begging for some help :(
