I've got an iPad, in fact we all have now  John had a Kindle Fire which he liked but didn't exactly think was amazing but he's now inherited Tom's iPad 2 now he's upgraded to an iPad Air (he needed a bigger capacity for school work). I love the iPad, it's so easy to use.
My mother in law has an iPad Mini and she took to it like a duck to water, even though she'd never used a computer or laptop in her life!

Kaz, if you were happy with the tablet Mick bought you, can I ask what made you get another? See, I can't justify that sort of thing, it's why our telly has only just been replaced from the Brick to a flat screen LED one  What happens to the one you are replacing?

It wasn't a tablet, it was a notebook that Mick bought me! Like a small laptop......... It has a proper keyboard and everything as well as being touchscreen but it's a fair bit bigger than most tablets! I gave my tablet to Becky for Christmas - thought I'd explained ....... :? I don't even have a smart phone, unlike most ;), so I need a portable gadget......

I wanted a new camera to replace the one that just broke - this tablet will fill that function plus I can also use it as a tablet! For a start it can come to Corfu with me :)

A new camera alone - which I would have had to buy before our holiday - would have cost far more than £49, which is what this tablet was inc postage :D 8-)

I can get the internet on my Kindle, but it's just not worth the bother.

I tried it when on holiday but soon gave up.

The screen is much too small, and trying to 'type' anything on it takes ages.

Kaz I meant I, personally, couldn't justify another 'gadget', not that anyone else shouldn't get one ;) I have my laptop only (tbh I don't know the difference between a tablet/notebook etc etc), and although I can get t'internet on my phone, it's so flippin slow, I rarely bother  Also the keys are so tiny I'd never manage to do much more than a short text message, and it's a pain having to enlarge the screen all the time to view a web page :|

So when you see me online, it'll be on my 3 and a bit year old lappie....actually it needs attention so if I'm missing for a few days, it'll be because Old Faithful is getting put right :D ;)

Yes sorry, have my stress-head on at the moment  Net books are a fair bit smaller than laptops, but unlike tablets are still attached to a keyboard. They don't usually have a CD drive either.....well mine doesn't :)

My sister has a netbook and that's not got a CD drive either, I was going to give her John's old iPod Nano and show her how to transfer her CDs onto it via what I thought was her laptop but it turned out to be a netbook so it couldn't be done.
