Mixed up lingo

Postby Ally » 06 Feb 2014, 14:28

I've posted on the kitchen board about a neighbour handing me in a bag of kumquats this morning. :D

This is the same lovely neighbour who, when we'd not been living here too long, was talking to Don about her pear tree and Don was telling her we had a pear tree in our garden and that it had produced a huge amounts of pears.

Don then went on to ask our neighbour if she'd had alot of perros from her tree.

Cue neighbour looking at Don most oddly: he'd accidentally asked her how many dogs she had on her tree!! :lol: :lol:

Pera = pear

Perro = dog. :lol: :lol: :lol:
