For those of us coming from afar I did a quick check on events in Birmingham and June appears to be relatively quiet on that front - then we arriver! :o

That last week in June, and the weekends either side, looks like a lull period for a lot of people up and down the country. The hotel prices last year certainly pointed to that: just a thought. Checking online that seems to be the case again - £29 per night.

Travel is a bit harder to predict. Nat Express Coaches will do a return, Leeds - Birmingham, for £13 around that time. Trains are not yet making offers but doing the max twelve weeks ahead it looks like a return will cost iro £35.

Having said all that I guess the meet dates are stil flexible this far out?

I'm easy (but you all know that) but the sooner the date is set the better so I can book the time off work and reserve the penthouse suite.

Agree about the date(s).....
The sooner the cheaper, being a Yorkshireman, and the 'basement boy' wot I am, and all that. :P :P :P

I will have a look at work tomorrow if I have any committee meetings in June/July. I have one every 6 weeks and have to be there - always on a Wednesday.

My preference would be Tuesday/Wednesday I think but as long as it doesn't clash with committee meeting or adoption panel I can juggle things around.

Academy breaks up on June 18th and we don't go back till September 15th..so I can come over any time really - although I'm hoping to meet Osc in Gibraltar mid July. :D

I'll see what everyone else is happy with date wise. :D

Ally, would it maybe make sense to tie this in with your visit in the beginning of June; to save you having to come over twice in one month?

What..you don't like the sound of me being in the UK too often? LOL

Joanie's birthday is Monday 9th and Don and I were looking to fly back that night or the next day. :D
It's Don's birthday on the 11th and the boys would like him back in Spain for that.

The 4 of us are coming over in May (see ticker  ) and will also meet up with Craig and Leilani. :D

I don't mind coming back over for the meet towards the end of June if that's the date the others want..I also want to tag time on to go to London, see my sis, oh and a load of other people.

Once the meet date is a definite I can get booking flights. :D

as if ???

OK, may I then suggest Tuesday, 24th June as the meet date? That way those of us that need to can pre-book our annual leave etc...

And then for those who prefer a weekend meet - we could maybe find a weekend in September for a 2nd one
