Mia's results

Mia had a biopsy of her larynx on Tuesday, can't remember if I mentioned it or not

She lost her voice a few weeks ago, but as she was eating, playing and purring, we just enjoyed the silence   Monday she started coughing and Tuesday she didn't want her breakfast and looked like she was struggling to swallow. So off we went to see Uncle Simon, well actually it was Aunty Kim. She offered antibiotics but as she is insured we went straight for an exploratory. Apparently it is hard to biopsy the larynx without special equipment but Simon did a needle biopsy. I picked her up at 5.30 and they said she may be in pain, she may cough, probably won't eat, well she ate all her supper, purred and no coughing. She is on antibiotics and steroids.

Today he rang to say her results show a very high level of infection, but she also has some large lymphocytes, which could indicate laryngeal lymphoma. Hopefully though as she bounced back so quickly and has her meow back she has just had a nasty infection and all will be well from now on

Poor little Mia.

Fingers crossed it is a simple infection and all is now sorted.

Gosh Shell, not sure how I missed this. How is Mia doing now?

End last year I took Monty to the vet because he struggled to purr and had difficulty swollowing - turned out he had cat equivalent of tonsilities.

Fusses to your girl - I hope she's feeling tons better x
