Oh phew!
Must say, Amazon have been very impressive at sorting out our (only 2) problems.
Agree that driver was trying to fiddle.

If it was indeed the driver then how did he think he'd get away with it. Two people ordered something each and only one thing delivered; of course someone is going to complain!

So glad it was sorted though.

Ria, I suppose he'd be working on the theory that it was his word against John's.

Funnily enough I was talking to a friend before Christmas and she'd had something similar happen. She lives in a flat and her neighbour knocked on the door one evening asking for the parcel she'd taken in for him. She hadn't taken in a parcel but the card said that it had been left at Flat 2a, J's flat. The neighbour checked with the others who lived in the block and none of them had it either.

Amazon usually are good aren't they Di?! Last Christmas a couple of games didn't turn up, sent via Royal Mail, so they were able to replace one and refund the other. And the year before a parcel they'd dispatched at the start of December containing books, games and DVDs - so of quite a high value - was showing as being out for delivery by Yodel for over two weeks. When I queried it they sent a replacement which was here a couple of days later...and then a couple of days before Christmas the original parcel showed up

Exactly Jo, we've been impressed.
The first time was a guitar hero game that came with a free guitar (a super-dooper one), opened on Christmas day and the guitar didn't work :(
Emailed same day, reply Boxing day saying a courier would collect it within 3 days and with a label to print out. It was sent to Germany and returned (or a new one, we don't know), within a week!
The second time was when I sold them some games; the co. that handled them said two of them were 'not as described' and would be returned.
A week later, neither had come back, and anyway I knew very well they were as good as new.
Amazon refunded me the full resale prices, and said they could see on their system that they were in 'excellent' condition, so as with your delivery, they knew then something wasn't right. And a couple of days later, the games came back too :)
