Good Morning Thursday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning, all.

It's drizzling here but could be worse.

Not much on our agenda today but we could do with a rest. We had a lovely family get-together yesterday. We were allowed to take our four-legged friend and he was the centre of attention with the children, all of whom have seemed to have shot up since we saw them last year. The poor dog was worn out, and we had to literally drag him out for today's morning walk.

We still have bags of stuff to eat. We really must make an effort. [If you feel hungry you know where to come]

Have a nice day, whatever you get up to.

Good morning all, it's a horrible wet one here today. I do need to go out after all as we're now out of cough medicine for Tom. Apart from that we don't have any plans, the forecast said it should dry and brighten this afternoon so hopefully we'll be able to walk Billy and blow a few cobwebs away - we certainly did last night, it was so very windy when we got to the Chase!

Good luck Ton and Millie!

I'm back :D

Went into see the surgeon only 5 minutes after the appointment time

So we had a good chat, he had a feel around where the colon used to be  and had a quick peek at Gladys and the decision is.................

go back in 6 months

He said it's far too early to have another large op and he wouldn't do anything for a year.

Everything is in working order and he couldn't see that there would be any problem reconnecting everything and there wouldn't be any problems with the plumbing.

So we're going for a walk down to he village to get some sage and onion stuffing for the very small chicken I bought, to go with those parsnips we were given.

And we'll stop for a beer or two :P :P

Good morning all, it's bright and breezy here and colder than the last few days. I have two loads of washing out, so hopefully there's a bit of drying. I'm still not 100% - cough much reduced and sinuses feel better, but I feel like I've been run over with a steamroller. We were to go out dancing tonight with friends, it meant a drive of about 45 minutes to our friend's house, then we were all going in one car for another 45 minute drive to the dance, so I've contacted her and told her I'm just not up to it and Mr. Osc is not in top form either. There's a pile of ironing which will probably remain untouched for at least another day. Going out for a walk around the block in a few minutes but no other plans.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

My ears feel really blocked and muffled now :| Tom's still tired and has still got his nasty cough, I'm nipping out to Tesco in a bit to get him some medicine. It's worrying me though because he's got a couple of GCSE exams the week he goes back and needs to get some revising done during the holidays :o

I hope you and Tom don't get too sick, Jo... it's terrible to be ill when it's cold and miserable outside.

It's a grey day outside at the moment. We have a band of snow coming in late tonight and all day tomorrow.
That means 2-4 inches of snow on Friday. I filled up the car with gas (petrol) today in case I run off the road.
It's been a quiet week so far - and a short one! I went back to work yesterday, and have only today and tomorrow
before the weekend, so a short week. :P :P

I always dread January and February. For some reason - November and December always tend to speed by, and
then time stops. That, along with the potential for having to drive through the snow tends to make me nervous.
So - I'm hoping for an easy winter this year.

Well we were only in town for an hour, but H spent some of his money on a new football and a Chelsea jacket   Still, he's happy with it :D Not too wet out there, just a bit of rain in the wind really. Hoping for a nicer day tomorrow when my sister is here, as we'd hoped to take them for a walk round the Docks and show them a bit of Gloucester...........

Since we got back I've got my washing in the dryer and have hoovered and tideed round a bit............I am so looking forward to their visit - when my parents were alive we always went to my sister's and saw everyone there, as mum and dad didn't drive and my sister couldn't fit everyone in their car to come to us, so this is different for us and very nice :D

Elaine I hope the rest of the winter whizzes by for you - I long for spring myself TBH, I'm not a 'winter' person either............

Osc, Jo, and anyone else feeling under par, I hope you feel better soon xxxx

Good evening everybody, especially those who are doing the quiz. I am managing to put the answers in red. Have just seen that I didn't delete the answer for 14.
Went to Boundary Mill this morning. Mrs. e got another frock. We also bought some new pillows ans sheets. Got 10% off as there was a special promotion.
No rain but plenty of clouds.
